Dr. Ángel Villamor, traumatologist and medical director of iQtra Medicina Avanzada, spoke about the recovery of the pilot Valentino Rossi with Pablo Parra and Jesús Poveda in “La trastienda” of Radio Marca. “The fracture has been important, although fortunate, Rossi is still in a phase of taking courage, is probably not having a good time”, Villamor said in this interview. He also talked about new techniques for lowering inflammation, which have come a long way, and the importance of applying and using all recovery resources from day one. The director of iQtra Medcina Avanzada has explained the role of a hyperbaric chamber in the repair of injuries and has also told, through his experience, how difficult it is to mark recovery times for athletes, who know pain well and know how to handle his injuries: “We are using techniques with the elite athletes that go to the limit, and that allows us to advance the treatments. Then we apply – successfully- to the rest of the patients“, says Ángel Villamor.
The Italian professional motorcycle road racer and multiple MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi, Il Dottore, participates in the MotoGP Aragon 2017 and has surprised everyone with his rapid recovery, only three weeks after having been operated on by a fracture of tibia and fibula.
