Hip trochanteric bursitis

The bursa is the bag that protects and cushions the joints. Bursitis refers to the inflammation of one of these bursae. The inflammation may occur as a result of arthrosis in the joint or an infection, among other reasons. The symptoms are: pain and hypersensitivity reactions, which may limit the movement of the affected joint.

The hips, shoulders, elbows, knees, heels and the first toe the joints that suffer the most. Injuries, overuse and stress by knocks or repetitive movements are some of the common causes of bursitis. Some diseases such as arthritis or the uric acid can also cause it.
